How to use students’ feedback?  to drive instruction and close gaps in learning

During a Chinese lesson, mentor texts and textbooks are most commonly used and referenced for instruction. Due to time constraints, the use of these texts in the classroom tend to be the greatest hurdle for Chinese teachers. In recent years, Mrs. Wang has been exploring Unit Based Teaching Design. Under this concept ,Mrs. Wang focused on linking the end goals directly to the texts in a unit. In order to carry out student-based learning, she implemented data-based teaching in which teachers serve as the facilitators to close the gap between student ability and student outcomes.In her session, Mrs. Wang will share her gains and losses by referencing the specific cases found within her previous and current classes.
